Outbrain, the network famous for distributing clickbait articles & ads on websites across the net, is planning to offer a premium product that makes sure that the articles recommended to readers at the bottom of their screens will be more related.
Outbrain’s CEO Yaron Galai, onstage at the Code Media conference, announced Sphere, a premium exclusive publisher-to-publisher audience network.
The company is launching the network with premiere sites namely the CNN, Getty, Time & Meredith to begin with, & will get other quality publishers up on this network as time goes on, Galal said.
The content, Galal stressed, would be “editorial only”.
The new product, called Sphere, is an invitation-only network where publishers share each other’s content among the closed group.
The Sphere tool will recompense engagement by monetarily incentivizing longer visits on site. Via Sphere, Outbrain will use a special algorithm to drive deeper engagement, the company noted.
